Pulpit announcements are more effective than bulletin announcements especially if they are read by a couple who is Living in Love. Some parishes will allow this; others may not. The ideal situation is to have a couple give a short pulpit talk, usually at the post communion; however, if the parish requires announcements to be read by a lector, ask the presider to call special attention to it and encourage couples to registger. In any case, there should be a registration table in the rear of the church manned by couple(s) who have experienced Living in Love who can answer questions and personally encourage other parishioners to register. It is helpful to have brochures (available from the PMRC) and parish specific registration forms.

Pick a weekend 3-6 weeks prior to the weekend date and coordinate the announcement with the pastor and parish staff. See the links below for sample announcements as well as an outline for a pulpit talk and samples of talks that couples have given.

The role of the pastor and other parish priests cannot be understated. Nothing is as effective as a priest personally asking a couple to attend Living in Love. Even a few words from the altar stressing the importance of the program and encouraging couples to make it a priority will be invaluable.
